UnderCoverWear has Autumn fashion wrapped up
UnderCoverWear’s chief fashion designer, Ana Tokic, has designed an exciting range for this coming Autumn that has kept in mind the importance of price, value and quality. Here she discusses the strategy behind her Autumn designs.
“There is something for everyone with loose, unstructured, fluid tops to more engineered designs with lots of draping and glitz. Be confident to show off this new found glamour!
Black is a strong colour for this season and we have offered it in our Essentials as well as with some sequined and beaded trims as in the Chantal Tunic and Catwalk Top. There is a lot of grey – silver, smoke and charcoal tones combined with a marle finish as in the Tiffany Jumper and the Ella story. Though we haven’t forgotten wonderful deep tones such as the purples, reds and teals as in the Preslee Wrap Cardi.
Soft neutrals have also played an important role with tones of beige, ivory and oatmeal found in the Tia Shawl and Sass Jumper. All of these colours blend in perfectly with the gorgeous tone of alabaster in the Kelli Trench Coat. Prints are also a key statement and we have very classic and safe prints like the Bryony, or for those who love to be noticed the Sylvia Tunic will do the trick.
A very important fashion tip is to not be afraid to layer. If you love a particular item such as the Sylvia Tunic but prefer to cover your arms, pop the Trini Top or Classic Top on underneath – it will also keep you warmer in the cooler months. I have to also mention the diversity of textures in this range. We have kept many styles in our ‘Easy Wear, Easy Care’ fabric such as the Yolanda Dress, however, we have also played with many more fluid fabrics like the Envy Top and Antonia Top. The salt’n’pepper look of the Jada is a great basic and can be worn with many colours and the Vivienne Tunic is also a wonderfully textured knit with an engineered stripe design.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with all the tops, bottoms, knits and denim. You might be surprised at what wonderful combinations you discover!”
Cheers, Ana
